East Java as part of the Eastern Sunda Magmatic Arc on Java Island, has substantiated a significant potential copper-gold deposits to exist concentrated in porphyry to epithermal systems along this metallogenic belt from Selogiri, Pacitan, and Trenggalek to Tumpangpitu. This study presents of detailed geology, hydrothermal alteration-mineralization features, as well as the paragenesis related by the central volcanic mineralization in Sidomulyo area, Trenggalek, East Java. The results reveal that the porphyry system occurred by 3 multiple diorite-tonalitic intrusion phases and volcanic sequences as formation rocks (Arjosari Formation). The wallrock alterations are well developed, present of potassic alteration uncovered on the surface below sericitic (SCC and SCP) alteration and pyrophyllite-quartz-alunite alteration as lithocap. The green rock alteration marked by abundant epidote and chlorite associated pyrite, K-feldspar, and secondary biotite. The other prograde alterations are developed on the peripheral area. Distributions of the intrusions are controlled largely by NW-trending (extensional-sector collapse). The ore minerals that observed on the ore vein/stockwork and mineralized wallrocks show the presence of pyrite, chalcopyrite, covellite, chalcocite, and minor bornite are developed on M, A-A family, B, and D veins. The Sidomulyo porphyry display characteristic geological features related with central volcanic mineralization. Significant presence of potassic and green rock alterations, and large overlying lithocap as pathfinder can be good point to vectoring to ore.
