University: An Announcement

As Berita Sedimentologi journal aimed to bridge communications, the editor has prepared a special column for the academia, both lecturer and students. In this column, university researchers, lecturers and even students could contribute their articles.
Students are welcome to submit their papers related to their laboratory, field studies, or campus academic activities related to sedimentary geology.
For students who like to take their opportunity to publish their article, please follow the following guideline:
- Get permission from supervisor
- Get permission from the sponsoring company if applicable.
- Prepare figures such as:
- Map
- Stratigraphic column
- Outcrop photos
- Prepare the text in English
Total pages including the figures should not longer than 3 pages of A4 size paper. The editors are happy to assist further on the paper preparation.
This space will also accommodate news related to student activities such as field trips, seminars, conference, etc. AAPG student chapters, for example, could submit their activity news.

Licensing and Copyright Agreement
In submitting the manuscript to BERITA SEDIMENTOLOGI, the authors certify that:
- They are authorized by their co-authors to enter into these arrangements.
- The work described has not been formally published before, except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture, review, thesis, or overlay journal.
- That it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- That its publication has been approved by all the author(s) and by the responsible authorities – tacitly or explicitly – of the institutes where the work has been carried out.
- They secure the right to reproduce any material that has already been published or copyrighted elsewhere.
- They agree to the following license and copyright agreement.

Authors who publish with BERITA SEDIMENTOLOGI agree to the following terms:
- Authors retain copyright and grant BERITA SEDIMENTOLOGI the right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Common Attribution License (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/) that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work’s authorship and initial publication in this journal.
- Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g. post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.
- Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g. in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work.
Non-Exclusive Commercial License
Forum Sedimentologiwan Indonesia (FOSI) and Ikatan Ahli Geologi Indonesia (IAGI), as the publishers of BERITA SEDIMENTOLOGI, occasionally will compile previously published volumes, reproduce them and put the copies into a media (e.g. DVD or USB drive) that later can be sold in exchange for a small amount of fees. The fees are not meant to gain profit from this journal publication, however they are to cover the production cost only.
By publishing with BERITA SEDIMENTOLOGI, the Authors agree to grant this journal and its publisher a Non-Exclusive Commercial License to compile, reproduce and sell the publication copies in a DVD or USB drive media and will not claim any rights/shares from the generated income in the future.
